All in Family

Black Boy Joy

Receiving news of another Black person’s death because of vigilante justice in America was hard for me because my children had birthdays in our midst. Typically, parents survey their minds of all the benchmarks hit by our children, all the memories made with triumph, vigor, and all those tender moments in between.

Caffeine Please!

“I need some damn coffee!” I think randomly as a side note to self. It is hot in the car but it isn't outside. Aggravated by it all I crack my window to catch a breeze. The air is crisp with a chilling breeze and it’s sunny out.

Driven by Love

Moments with family seem surreal these days. Watching my children fall in love with people who love them most of all is completely heartwarming.  We sew seeds into people with the time spent with them. Walking along New Orleans streets, capturing smiling and events with the mutineer and my darling terrorist keeps me occupied throughout the day.
