The Longer the Root the Stranger the Fruit

This is not a debate; it is a history lesson. I have heard a lot of suggestions that Black people should be more focused on Black on Black crime rather than racial inequality and the inequitable divide in the country. Personally, it means that people should first analyze how the increase of Black on Black crime began increasing in the first place.

Those who decide to see Black-on-Black crime and African American rate of incarceration as a point of concern where my worries would be better suited must also be reminded or perhaps educated that African-American men and women and other marginalized people of color have had laws created in order to lock them up that still remain on the books till this very day.
